Yes but I work late and am lazy. I'd say I cook once a week vs him cooking like 5. But he enjoys cooking and gets home earlier than I do so it doesn't matter. Maybe your gf just likes doing it! As long as you help with the dishes and clean up I'm sure she doesn't care.

 

my friend made me realize that the reason I'm so willing to "waste my time" on this guy that clearly isn't going anywhere/isn't the best situation/kinda treats me like crap/one sided bullshit, is because I'm fully unconvinced that I will ever find "the one" or whatever. So I guess this is just me giving up and doing this for now.

 

I think once I took the pressure off about The One I felt better about life. My older sis has been with her husband for 10 years, since they were 15, and I always felt a weird pressure to find that too and put up with too much bs to force that narrative. Once I was like eh, who cares if it's going anywhere we're just having fun/hanging out/getting to know each other and that's cool for right now, it just all clicked better. I do think that as I get older tho I will start feeling the pressure again cause God forbid a woman approaches her 30s single!!!

 

There is no " the one" or soulmates, that would suck if there was only one, I don't know if that helps

definitely one of the more intimidating thing about trying to date now and getting closer to 30 (as I'm 28) is that it seems like it's this race to get serious and settle down and I know I must be totally fucking up the online/phone app dating pool by not really being about that at all haha
