Also, this situation kind of sucks the other way round too. I've had it happen a couple of times in the last few years. I start dating a girl who I really get on with, but I start to realise I'm not really developing a romantic attachment. Meanwhile they clearly are and it just makes you feel so bad for not liking them back.

At least I don't feel guilty when I get rejected!

I imagine/envision rom com meet cutes all the time, one I really like is we're both on line for say a cronut and after an hour on line she gets the last one and I'm really mad because I wasted my time but then I see her and sparks fly

It sucks because realistically I know the only way I'd meet someone is online dating but I am obsessed with having a cute how I met your mother story

 

If she shares the last cronut with you, she's a keeper.

 

I rarely leave my house so online dating seems most plausible but I don't wanna do that either. It seems most convenient to meet someone while you're out and about but when a guy stops me when I'm running errands or something trying to get my number that just creeps me out. So I'm impossible to please lol.

Realistically I think I'd need to move. I've never been many guys' type here and the feeling is mutual. I'd rarely ever had any sort of male attention until I briefly moved to the city. I was so confused when guys would be interested cause they just aren't where I grew up and still live now lol. Which is fine cause ppl here suck and I do wanna move so it's extra motivation.

I have a lot of good meet cute stories, but none of them worked out. I just want something boring that lasts at this point.

I met a woman at prom. We had different dates. She and I ended up talking, leading to us making out on the dance floor in front of our dates. That was sort of cute. At least, it conforms to the standard romantic comedy structures, in which a woman leaves her current partner in favor of a better suitor. I mean, Sleepless in Seattle is actually the story of a romantic affair a woman is having with Tom Hanks.

 

My best relationship was 5 years and he wrote and recorded me songs, sent me real life letters which was so cute. He broke a cymbal and wrote a huge note on it. I should prob throw it away but I haven't been able to.



We broke up bc he was touring 24/7 and it wasn't fair to me. We're still friends but it's complicated and he just married for a 2nd time and she doesn't want us talking. Which I understand. He was my great love and I feel I'll never find anyone as good as him.

I just realized that I don't think I ever posted about it.

EDIT: He put me in the thank you section of their album booklets, too.

With regard to the portion about great loves, I often feel this way about the woman I dated and fell in love with a few years back. She was a communist, activist, all-around hater of white folks. Just the total package. I fucked that up.
