i've been in this situation. things ended up being the same as if we were actually dating, prior issues got resolved, and we had another go at the relationship. we dated for another 6 months after that before we quit for good, but I don't think those 6 months were wasted. if it leads to you two getting together again and working things out it couldn't be that bad a thing.

My date last night was a lot of fun, but he's just so young I don't know. Only a year out of college and still living with three other guys. I'll just do the healthy thing and ignore all that for now.

I mean, while he is younger and not quite at the same "level" as you. One could argue that you are still in the same stage of life, post college/early career. Age is less relevant once everyone involved is 18 and up. I fee stage of life is far more important. Know what I mean?

This past Friday I went out with some friends and had a really great time. I haven't been that happy in quite some time. Toward the end of the night, however, my ex called me, left an angry voice message, telling me how terrible I am for staying out late. Three more weeks and I'll be out of this house. I cannot wait.

 

it wasnt really all it was cracked up to be. what i did with that girl and my intentions behind it were toxicly aggressive towards women and i really do regret it. it was consensual and all, but there were background factors in play for both of us that made it an unpleasent experience. I'd take it back if I could.

But people in the thread had fun and it was a laugh at the time so at least some people got enjoyment out of it.

 

i totally understand this situation and i hope it works out for you my friend. do you live in a small town? i do, its hard to get away from exs even when moving out. but that comes with the territory and im no saint either.

Yeah, I totally get that. I usually date guys older than me so that may be why it seems so drastic.

I'm sure that's part of it for sure. We stopped by their place for awhile, though, and there was such a fratty vibe. Probably because some of his roommates are still in college.

 

I def think age is relevant past 18 cause I think it's creepy af when dudes date girls who are barely legal even if everyone is 18+. Def know too many women who were of legal age but were taken advantage of by creepy guys who were in their late 20s when the girl was like 18/19 and barely out of hs and very naive. I'm automatically suspicious of those relationships.

I feel like once you're out of college it's hard to find ppl your age tho since there's not a convenient place where those your age congregate or whatever.

 

Agreed. But like I said, stage of life is important. Guys out of college shouldn't be hooking up with freshman girls, IMO. At least in the context of wanting an actual relationship. Maybe 21 or so and up is more accurate to say?

 

Kind of forgot about the aftermath of that. Now that I remember I apologize for bringing it up.

 

for me the thing with age differences is experience or whenever, like I can't imagine being like hey remember Space Jam and them being like I was born the year Space Jam came out
