There's a woman that I deal with at work that I think is pretty cool. We have similar senses of humor. She has invited me out with a few of her friends for a Fourth of July party in central Maryland. I am not sure whether or not I'll do it. Also, she's white, so that's working against her.

Eh. I have a hard time trusting white people in large groups. When you they get together, it usually doesn't end well.

 

I think that's a bit much. That can be said about most groups if we're referring to mob mentality. When it comes down to it, I think it's best to play it by ear and see if these people are cool people.

I know good and bad folks from all kinds of races, religions, sexual orientations, etc. It's usually not the demographic that makes them bad. That's just how some people are.

 

Well, that's good for you. I think you're wrong, because white supremacy is a thing. Anyway, it goes beyond certain comfort levels for me, given the things I've seen and experienced.

Maybe that's just it. Our experiences clearly led us to different conclusions.

I'm a nonreligious Mexican-American guy who grew up in a predominately Latin community in the south, but I've grown to have an incredibly diverse set of people around me. My best friend is Indian, brother in law is black, I have close friends that range in race, religions, sexual orientation, etc. Regardless, you have to choose whatever you're comfortable with and makes you happy.
