I really am the cause of my own misery by not being direct but I feel like there are good reasons to go about it that way. Less pressure on both of us, if it doesn’t go well she doesn’t have to feel bad thinking I drove all the way out there just for her, and if all goes well I can tell her about it later on and hopefully she’ll think it’s cute and not neurotic

She's had a really rough life, like truly awful things, and some pretty bad mental health issues. I try to be sensitive to that, but she lashes out at me for things I say just trying to be helpful. She's also not trusting at all, and it's understandable considering. But I don't think I can live under the cloud of all that.

We've only been seeing each other for about a month and everything was pretty much great up til last weekend. But it's quickly gotten very rough

 

Yeah that's tough, I think the best route is to be polite but transparent and in a kind way tell her how you really feel. Basically what you've said here. We can't stay with someone because of empathy you know?

 

She's already told me a couple times this week that she doesn't think we should be together because of this stuff. I tried to reassure her, but if it's gonna stay this way I don't think I'm gonna do that uphill battle

Sucks because I do really like her and she seemed to like me a lot as well. Before this weekend we were really on a high, but I guess that's bipolar

 

There's absolutely no reason you can't just be a friend and support for now and see where it goes.its only been a month for you guys.

 

You can care for each other mutually, have romantic feelings and a relationship can still be a bad idea.
