I’m using this opportunity to shout out Horizon Books and Brilliant Books in downtown Traverse city, my two favorite book stores. I visit there when I go up to see my in-laws and they can use all the help they can get.

My cousin married a very sweet woman who has a kid from a previous marriage whose around 12/13 so I'm excited to corrupt him with punk and hardcore and be the "cool" cousin since he's an only child and his parents don't listen to anything good.

 

Hitting 10k steps daily has improved all areas of my life in unexpected ways. I just happened to notice I hit it like 3 days in a row so I decided to keep it up and I'm on day 9 or so. It makes me productive in other areas because I'll load/unload the dishwasher or put away laundry, knowing it'll count some additional steps when I do. I never would've put that together lol. We'll see how long I keep it up for, but it's been pretty neat getting more done around the house and feeling pride a few times when I thought no way I'd reach it that day and then I do!

 

Compound that with consuming enough water and you’re golden

We Have the Facts is a top five album for me and Something About Airplanes is crazy underrated

 

Just spun both of them today, perfect for this time of year. Some really cool guitar work on those albums.

 

I found two nice H&M shirts at a thrift store today for $13. One still had the tags on it
