Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool (May 8, 2016) Album • Page 30

  1. It's probably just as likely they both just independently thought of a book/photo album type packaging.

Just fun to ponder cus they're two of my all time favorite artists.

Same. I noticed the similarities too, from the pictures.

Mine will be here on Monday and I couldn't be more excited.

Been listening to this for the first time in at least a couple months. Without a doubt a fall/winter album. Loving it more than I did.

I wish the album flowed as well as their earlier work. Plenty of fantastic tracks but also more "skips" than I'm used to from their usually near-perfect thematic arrangement of albums.

Skips as in you're skipping tracks? Which ones?

I still listen to this regularly, top tier (or very very close to it) Radiohead record for me.

Decks Dark and The Present Tense could be top 15 radiohead songs

    hmmm

I really like it but I don't think it's as good as I initially thought it was. I certainly understand the flowing issue someone mentioned above - I mean, Burn The Witch into Daydreaming is bizarre to say the least and there are little elements/mixing points that I don't think quitework.

When this record's good though, it's phenomenal.

"Burn the Witch" is way out of place and, IMHO, isn't even strong enough to warrant the jagged transition into the rest of the album. Wouldn't have minded it being a standalone single.

Burn The Witch is soo smooth. I had the biggest smile on my face after hearing that song for the first time. It was so great to hear them back.

Burn the Witch is fantastic and might be my favourite song on the album. Would have liked an album more like that honestly. This hasn't really grown on me the way I wanted it to. Probably my least favourite of theirs at this point other than Pablo which I still haven't heard.

I love this album. It's the only Radiohead album I've heard as I still haven't managed to check out the rest of their discography yet, but I plan to rectify that soon

    Keep on moving. Busy street.

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but during my first listen I was incredibly impressed by how good the album flows, and I still believe it does. Burn the Witch into Daydreaming is quite weird, but I reckon that is the point.

  23. Definitely in the better half of their catalog and top 10 material for me this year. It's a strange but wonderful album.

My only gripe with the flow is that Daydreaming seems out of place. Should be later in the track listing. But yeah well said. This is a strange but wonderful album.

True. Problem is I hold this band to such a ridiculous standard. Like I expect them to spend an entire albums run time innovating. That's just not fair. There's just songs here that dont do much for me. Most of them actually. Not a bad song here certainly but for the first time some of it feels sort of pandering. But at least several blew me away properly (glass eyes, ful stop, daydreaming).
