So today there was this “GaMiNg WiTh CoPs” event at the library where they encouraged you to come play games and ask cops questions

so I hated this naturally and wanted to stand up against it but didn’t really know how

To make a long story short, I went and there were just 2 cops basically sitting there not even interacting with the kids (which I was glad for) but I sat across from them and went to play connect 4 with them and instantly was like “welllll this is a Q&A event sooo I have some questions” and pulled out my notes I had made about things I wanted to cover

anyway I didn’t necessarily have a goal or end game in mind but I am glad that I got to apply pressure about certain topics and practice expressing my views
Confronting them was scary and intimidating and exciting and confusing because I wanted to ask them questions and get them to consider what I was saying but I also wanted to yell at them and call them pigs and spit on them sooo

All in all it was...an experience
