it's weird, with Ari, I want him to do something decidedly different with his next project. whereas with Robert Eggers, I want him to completely lean into his motifs with the next one(s)

I thoroughly enjoyed Hereditary, even bought it, and haven’t really had any desire to rewatch it due to how much of a downer it is haha

Midsommar I’ve watched a couple times just based on the cinematography and how much I love the overly bright colors paired with the unsettling feeling throughout

 

Please don't turn into a bunch of judgmental pretentious entertainment forum posters. That'll be the last straw for me

My critical opinion is that not many movies have been able to capture the abstract concept of grief and make it appear so visceral and tangible on film
