It's a beautiful thing when a Lyft driver hates small talk as much as I do.

 

You're not the worst, but I find it offensive that people do that.

I always have to wear them, unless I wear my contacts. It'd be an absolute fucking joy to not have to wear them.

My friend got laser eye surgery and the thought of getting those clockwork orange clamps on my eyes makes me never want to get it.

I want lasik very, very badly. But I'm terrified of it. The thought of never having to wear glasses or contacts is so incredibly appealing though.

 

Apparently it's quick and your eyes only burn for one full day. Still scares me though.

 

my brother in law got it done and yeah, a few short days of recovery but for a few days you have to really stay away from bright lights/screens. a woman in my office got it done and for a week she sat in her office in the dark doing work lol

 

I want the doctor to induce a coma and perform the surgery while I'm out. wake me up a week later.

no real reason, just poking fun of Florida. Rather stay in the Midwest because it is relatively close to both our families. So I think if we ever did move somewhere probably be like Chicago. But Florida is okay, personally 4-5 days is fine with me for general vacations, so when my friend said they were going for a week I’m just thinking “that’s a bit excessive”

Oh I see. Yeah family is a valid reason to want to stay. I just don’t understand people who act like there aren’t valid good reasons to live in Florida. Especially people who live in random places. Like, that’s why I get curious. Bc if someone was like yeah I just like small town life and love snow so much and love the mountains like obviously Florida is the opposite of that. But most people really don’t go beyond “hurr Florida is dumb” and I get defensive lmao like Florida has its problems but it’s a top 5 state for me. Yes that’s more of a comment on how much the other states suck but still lmao


Also yeah I’ve never taken anything close to a week vacation so deff can’t relate there haha

 

eh it’s not that bad. I definitely prefer when I notice they get in with headphones and my interaction is basically “have a good one” when they leave, but the people that do want to talk are generally more pleasant than not. those folks almost always tip good too
