What do you think is the best way to go about coding? Get a certificate? Go to school? I get so many different answers and I get lost and just do nothing

Don’t have to have a degree to get a job. If you learn on your own and have a portfolio of shit, this can really help.

Not really. I do know it's one of those things that you either just get or don't lol. My C++ class either aced it or bombed it. Also the thought of doing code all day makes me want to die. I think it would be cool to work for a video game company or something if I had to do it.

However coding (aka fucking up and then figuring out how to fix it) was one of the most fulfilling feelings for me so it might be a trade-off

 

When anyone tells me I'd good at coding I get insulted like I'm being called a loser haha

 

I dont wanna base my experience of coding on what ive had at my current job, because ive looked at it and its intimidating as fuck but of course it is I know nothing about it

 

Im just so unmotivated and resentful at work right now, I think im gonna start looking for serving jobs before I even think about quitting but im afraid to leave here, one other girl just did last week because it sucks here but Idk thats not my fucking problem

Also @oldjersey I signed up for edx and can take all these free courses (you have to pay to get an actual cert from them, but to do the classes it's free). I started a Learn to Program in Java course that is a Microsoft course.
