Don't you love it when people who earn an above average wage end up siding with the billionaires instead of those poorer than them. Like the difference between someone who earns $100,000 a year and $25,000 is so insignificant compared to the difference between $100,000 and a billionaires but they still often take the side of the billionaires because they think that's the side they belong on.

Honestly, it’s because being able to afford modern luxuries doesn’t require a billion dollars, folks who make $200k a year can sit pretty comfortably in any place they’d like to, so it’s very easy to feel like you’re one of the cool kids. I know plenty of folks who make VERY good money, and most are jaded AF like when I say I can’t afford to do something because it’s $60-70 and I just paid rent and/or all my bills and they're like ::head tilt:: "whatt??"

 

I am like 55% done paying for my car and I already hate it

 

I miss SH so much!

 

plus nearly all of these people have the right wing/boomer mentality "well you could have this money TOO if you worked hard".

I'm overwhelmed.

 

Always had this problem with a friend of mine. Always wanted to go out to eat at expensive places and it's like it'd be nice not to feel bad about spending $10 even on lunch but even that feels bad. I'm always grateful to be able to afford a place to live and food to eat but man some people have no idea what it's like to count every penny
