I also thought of Single Mothers the whole time I listened, album is much better than I expected. Excited to spin it all weekend

Also that spotify variant went quick I probably would have got it if I saw my email earlier :(

I think after a full morning on repeat, I would put this just behind Morbid Stuff - for now.

I’m a big soft baby for melody and Morbid Stuff has huge hooks in every song except maybe City. That immediacy and playfulness is present in the first 6 tracks. The latter half here is more acerbic, but I can tell I’m gonna grow into those. If I was a “first records are best” fan, those are outstanding songs and I could see not liking the first half as much as the back.

In conclusion, PUP is a land of contrasts.

Dammit I missed that variant cover.

Went to the local record shop and they were sold out of the album within the first hour. Really happy that PUP is moving units.

Just finished my first spin of the vinyl - really solid. Obviously need to spend more time with it but I think it could become my favorite.

So first listen. I'd managed to hold off on listening to anything from it before release.

Few songs in and Relentless is an early highlight. What a song

"Habits" and "Cutting off the Corners" are outstanding. I love "Waiting" even more in the context of the album.

am i crazy or are the vocals mixed very low on some tracks? I'm sure I'll grow to live with it or is just that Spotify is garbage?
