Finally got around to this album over the weekend.

I really, really, really fucking love this album. If it were based off of pure number of listens, this would easily be my favorite album of the year.

 

i really should spend more time with this, but every time it comes up on my shuffle i skip it because the volume is so low and i have to turn it up to an obscene level in comparison to other albums on my phone. anyone know why this happens? i plead complete ignorance to that sort of thing, but is it the way the album was mastered? or did i just cop a shitty rip?

Two songs in the OP remind me of FIDLAR and Dr Manhattan, I should probably check out the whole album huh?

 

It's a real solid record. One of the most fun rock albums of the year. A hearty 'yes you should' from me.

I listened to that FIDLAR album once last year and strongly disliked it. Maybe I should try it again.

help me out with the hyped albums from younger bands this year. I like this a lot, I do not like Foxing or Hotelier's new albums. What's the story with Pinegrove, Modern Baseball, Direct Hit, and what am I missing?

 

Pinegrove. Oh please, listen to Pinegrove. If you don't adore either "Cadmium" or "Aphasia," then I don't know you at all and these past like eight years have been a waste.
