It's like publications are trying to find something more annoying than starting Christmas music November.

I don't know why I talk shit though. I'm still reading these at work rn lol

 

Bjork is number 3 on the Rough Trade list and it's not even released yet.

 

i mean they've heard it, not like they were like "oh, it's bjork, #3 it is"

i do know that, most of the ones i posted are in magazines and aren't easily readable, this is an easier/the only format

 

Oh gotcha...I was clicking through to some of the sites actual lists so I assumed they were all online. I thought you were just trying to like avoid giving them clicks or something.

 

God I've got so much work to do hahaha.

 

The Rough Trade list has Courtney Marie Andrews' Honest Life on there but didn't that come out last year?

 

I imagine since they are releasing these in November that they count 2016 November and December as part of 2017. Because apparently that's a thing now.

ryan adams #2 for RT is mid as hell

 

It was re-released on a European label this year, so technically it only came out in 2017 for us over here.

 

LCD soundsystem is number 1 on two lists and number 2 on another. I remember giving it a listen and thinking it was just ok, guess I’ll give it another a listen.

 

I have a couple albums I'm looking forward to that aren't even out yet so there's no way I can post my list yet wtf

 

it's big enough and acclaimed enough that all the generic pubs will eat it up

don't expect it to be this high on any of the publications that really are interesting

They always have some weird mix of good albums that will probably be overlooked by a lot of the other major publications and bad big name albums that shouldn’t be listed

 

it's so weird seeing all this lists made before U2 drops in a few weeks because I can't imagine that wouldn't make at least one of these lists, I understand for magazine sales it's weird to do best ofs in the middle of January but this is weird too
