Does anyone out there use any project management software that they like? I am looking for a simple pm app that includes group chat and a calendar. Nothing too fancy.

    Thanks!

Yeah like Slack, but from what I saw of Slack, there is no shared project calendar. Am I wrong?

I don't think slack has a shared calender. We use a Slack to communicate to each other and Basecamp for Project tasks. Basecamp is cool because you can create different Todo lists for each project, and you can also start group discussions for different things.

I've used Asana in a couple of jobs before and found it really user friendly. Also, it has a calendar, so I can recommend that. Haven't tried Slack or Basecamp though, so can't compare to them I'm afraid.

I find Asana really difficult to use (lots of keyboard shortcuts and hidden features with very little indication to first-time users), but to each their own!

My favorite is Pivotal Tracker, which to me is a more lightweight version of Asana, though visually a bit cramped. No group chat, though :/ A lot of the general project management software I've used does not have a group chat/communication feature. Slack is great though, and offers integrations with Asana and Pivotal (and others, too).

Absolutely, whatever floats your boat! I know what you mean, I think for me it helped that I was given an introduction of it at work, rather than having to work it out or trawl through instructions myself. Maybe I'm just lazy though!
