I think that they were all involved with a martial arts club at the community center.

 

Yea, the original 5 were friends before they got powers. Did it make them closer? No doubt. But they were all very clearly friendly and familiar with each other at the juice bar.

 

Rocky and Tommy were martial artists but I think the others dabbled in it? Kimberly was a gymnast and Zach danced and later taught a style of fighting he called "hiphopkido"

 

You're right. It's been ages since I've seen the pilot. I guess I was just thinking mostly that they were all doing different things in the original episode regarding their hobbies and characteristics, and then once they're all together they get pulled into a fight.

 

I really, really liked that trailer. It's interesting how they're going for more of a Breakfast Club kind of feel than the original show, but I like that dynamic a lot.

The suits look GREAT by the way.

I know nostalgia and all, but I just can't quite wrap my head around the fact that people care about this.

 

Trailer definitely has me interested. Can't wait to see more.

 

So somebody said it after the trailer was posted, but sure enough Max Landis who did Chronicle has been pointing fingers on Twitter.

 

You know, I feel like I heard him say he wrote a draft for it at some point. Hmmmm

 

Anything that's annoying to Max Landis makes me obnoxiously happy, tbh.

 

He did, and he used that in his complaint to help his case, whatever that really is.

 

Did not expect this trailer to be this interesting. i used to get made fun of when i watched the mighty mophin power rangers (kimberly and tommy 4ever) and now that I'm elderly I can like this out loud. no shame.

 

So, the green ranger, at least powers, are all but confirmed.

So that's... a thing. Yikes.

 

As the original Alpha 5 would say, "Aye aye aye!"

 

Say what? You think that looks any worse than the original alpha? who had no eyeballs and walked like a wind up toy? I'm a fan of the new look.

 

The eyes look bad, and what looks like a beer belly, is an odd choice. I just think it's a bad design.

 

If his eyes were set in his head, it would be fine.

 

Weirdly shaped.

 

It looks alien, exactly how I think it should be. The sphere in the center of his head looks pretty cool from behind. I'd imagine he'll be CGI heavy.
