FFO Title Fight - Hyperview

It's kinda emo, kinda grungy, shoegazey, post-hardcoreish

 

Forgot this was out now! Been hype for it

 

Apparently the singer from Daytrader is in a new band, this LP was recorded in 2013 with Wil Yip but never got released for some reason.

Other members are from: The Saddest Landscape/A City Safe From The Sea, Shai Hulud, Divider

I dig it on my first listen.

 

Yeah they're not active anymore and Tym has got a job at a sports company if I remember well since. They also had a solid EP prior to the album.

 

I suppose I should've posted this in this thread, I get the metal topics confused here for some reason...

But this is the best this band has sounded IMO... coming out of the breakdown and through to the end is just enormous.

Not sure if this belongs here, in the emo thread, or metal thread but it sounds like a mix of Teenage Wrist and some Elder style stoner rock/doom metal to me, definitely leans into some post-hardcore influences too.

 

This is really good. I think a great place to share it is the shoegaze thread. It reminds me of the Narrowhead album at times.

Finally listening to the Palm Reader album. Holy shit man. This album is huge.

 

Really good stuff. A nice mix of Shoegaze, 90’s grunge and post hardcore. Record releases officially January 29th.

No Year - So Long

 

Mathcore from Toronto. They remind me a lot of Eighteen Visions/ETID/DEP.

Although, in the third track they throw in some jazz.

Sea Noto - Acetylene Moon

 

This record is insane. Avant-garde, mathcore and progressive are all good descriptors. (Avoiding the screamo tag...)

A mix between DEP and The Number 12. This Brooklyn based band is one to watch.

Juan Bond - Womb

 

They're getting better with each release. Just need to bring those vocals up a bit. Impressed.
