taking over a gym is easy, you're just not going to keep it very long unless you coordinate with other people

 

I work at a mall and it's a gym. It stays one color for a couple of days and then I guess when those people are off another color takes over and it just repeats that way

 

There's a Pokestop like 50-yards outside of the radius from my house and it's so frustrating not being able to capitalize as easy as I'd like to

 

The servers should not have problems at 2am

 

Have you found areas in LA with especially rare Pokemon of any sort? I'm bored and might go for a slow drive lol

 

I've actually been in Santa Barbara all weekend, so no L.A. hints yet

 

Going to walk along the beach this morning to see what I find and I'm unreasonably excited.

 

Got this and someone's already taken the name SpyKi. Come on now.

 

I may or may not have walked miles in the Texas heat for a Haunter, Nidorino, and Snorlax just now. Got 2/3, can't complain.

 

I have this but with a gym. There's a church diagonally across the street from me and I wish I could claim it from my house.

Successful trip to the beach. Got a Slowpoke, Magikarp, Staryu, Kabuto, Poliwag, and looooots of Magnemites and Voltorbs for whatever reason lol. Also hatched a Pikachu!

 

Did you get the Snorlax?

 

I have nothing but basic ass Pokemon. I am jealous of everyone.

 

My buddy caught a Blastoise with 720 CP. wut

 

charmander was in my bedroom last night.

 

So Pokemon Go facilitated my hook up last night. Came out of the bars and saw a girl playing on the street corner and we casually talked about mon for a while. Ended up walking to a Pokestop and kissed. Great night.

 

I've only caught like two wild Charmanders, feels like it's going to be a year before I catch enough to get to Charizard

 

oh and i wasted like 7 pokeballs trying to catch a goddamn vaperon.

 

Everyone is catching these crazy Pokemon and I'm stuck with Weedle's, Rattata's and Spearow's.

 

It's the only thing I didn't get :( it stayed 3 footprints away my entire walk and when I headed back it disappeared. The bad thing about my area is a lot of people have a lot of land and I guarantee that's where the Snorlax was.

 

Man I'm pretty sure my 10km egg just hatched into a zubat fuck this game

Edit: was a 5km egg but still

 

For a while this was me. It does improve.

 

I feel your pain. The most exotic thing I've come across is a high level Oddish.

Well, that's good to know.

 

I had an absolutely amazing time playing Pokemon Go yesterday, and I thought that this would be a good place to write about it.

I went to Disneyland yesterday because my wife had some friends in town visiting the park, and since we have annual passes we drove down from LA to meet them there. We were there from about 5:00 pm to midnight, and I'll start off by saying this: my experience yesterday was exactly why Pokemon Go has become an instant phenomenon.

Both my wife and I play, and as it turned out so did her friends who we met at the park. Disneyland, California Adventure, and Downtown Disney were absolutely swarming with Pokestops and people playing Pokemon Go. In the general Disney park vicinity there were at least 30 Pokestops and 15 or more gyms. Most Pokestops weren't more than a one or two minute walk away from another Pokestop, and almost every Pokestop had a lure dropped at it. This was consistent the entire time I was at the park.

My day was basically a group of 6 people walking from ride to ride, catching Pokemon and having a great time in between rides and while waiting in line. I caught at least 50 Pokemon yesterday, probably more. My best catch of the day was this guy I caught while grabbing coffee at the Starbucks in Downtown Disney:



To make a long story short, if you live near a theme park or some other large common gathering area, I suggest you check it out. Check it out by yourself with a friend. Also, if you can find people to go play it with then do so. It's so much more fun with a group of people.
