Played for like 40 minutes on my streetcar through Toronto. Caught like dozens of pokemon and stocked up on 200+ balls. I'm having a blast with this so far. Made my ride just absolutely fly by too. Have yet to do a battle though.

Think my coolest find is Hitmonchan. Got a Geodude from an egg which is cool. Strongest is a 372 Hypno.

 

Was on a beach here on vacation and in the middle of catching a Polywhirl, a woman in her 40s walked up and asked if I was catching Pokemon. Then she yelled down the beach to her son telling him I was catching Pokemon. Haha

I don't think I have any Pokemon to write home about yet. My strongest are my Exeggecute, Eevee, Gastly, and Pidgeotto. But no one over 120 at this point.

 

I have a 171 Fearow

 

Pretty legitimately proud of my 531 Flareon not gonna lie.

 

The server was down all day earlier while I was out so I'm heading out for my nightly walk. Hoping to get some good catches and also upgrade to lvl 5 so I can finally check out the local gym tomorrow.

 

Was in NYC/Times Square tonight, nothing but Pidgeys, I was shocked. The lure modules suck compared to incense.

Also caught a 481 Pidgeot which is cool

Also caught a Magicarp and it takes fucking 400 Magicarp candy to evolve it lol fuck this game

 

Just started tonight, it's a bit confusing thus far. Already having app problems too, but it's fun!

 

Pokémon Trainer Club is finally back up! I can play again after two long poké-less days!

 

its 6:28 am EST and I' aimlessly walking around the neighborhood. Last night at midnight I saw at LEAST 20 people walking around for Pokemon Go, it's incredible.

My highest is a 265 Cloyster.

 

I saw a guy sitting on a bench in the park waiting for people to contest his gym. I destroyed the three pokes there, but it wouldn't let me finish of the last one.

 

Had my first egg hatch today, was a Machop from a 5km egg. I'm thinking the distance may not have to do with the Pokemon itself but what comes with it, because it had a lot more candy/stardust with it than expected.

 

I'm gonna hatch a 10K this afternoon, so we shall see.

 

Yeah, I went to the strip mall by where I grew up with a friend and at least 5 people stopped and asked if we were playing Pokemon. Of course they were too! One of the ladies stopped us and told us a long story about how her in-law came home an hour late (in Vegas) because he got a notification about a legendary somewhere over there, so he had to get it. I like the community of the game!

I'm not too far into it yet -- just got to lvl 5, but I'm excited to hopefully get some cool stuff soon!

 

Taking a boat to Toronto Island today. Gonna see what I can find in the water.

Got my Pidgeot up to 583 CP. This concert tonight is gonna be him versus everyone.

Pokémon Go Isn't Very Good but It Will Be Huge Anyway

The strangest thing is none of that may matter. Because it's Pokémon and it's communal and every now and then you turn the corner and see a man slouching over a mailbox and there at is feet is an Ekans and you think hah, yea, okay, this works. Because on the way to work this morning, my bus route led me past a Magmar—a weird sort of lava duck pokémon—and when I wasn't quick enough to capture it, I felt a sharp sense of loss. Because I've been thinking about making a trip to the river tomorrow, just so I can maybe find some more water-type pokémon.

 

I keep seeing Psyduck silhouettes but they are nowhere to be found. Magikarp too.

 

Walked around the center of town and the parks today, where all of the shit is for me in this game. Kind of a pain in the ass in a rural area because I have to go at least a mile or two to get anywhere. But once you're there it's great, caught 20 some odd mons in a couple hours and saw at least 6 or 8 other people playing. Had a gym nabbed from under me by two teenagers who rolled in behind me lol. Saw silhouettes of Bulbasaur, Scyther, Clefairy, Drowzee, Fearow, and Horsea but couldn't find any of them anywhere in the big park in my town. Can't wait to play in an actual city
