Of course, but the outpouring of support is really refreshing after people with different abilities have been trying to get others to care for months and were mostly ignored. It’s nice that there was some actual togetherness in what’s usually cold and shitty selfish individualism. Let niantic show their ass and say they only care about profit, maybe some people will just stop playing, hopefully.

 

My response will be playing significantly less. I still love Pokémon and I play it a lot when I walk, but I’ve already noticed this week that my play time has gone way down.

 

People can do what they want but for me, I thought it would be much harder to stop playing at first too. I deleted it, thought about it for a week but just started playing other games on actual consoles, listening to more music and I don’t care about that it all anymore. It actually was messing with my creativity and my imagination, That’s just me, though and I wouldn’t judge anyone who might need it for whatever they’re going through at the moment.

 

Lmao everyone saying they won’t play anymore will log on as soon as the gen 8 legendaries are released in 2 weeks. Niantic has been doing stupid stuff ever since the game launched in 2016 and those same people have spent way too much money to just quit the game.

I’ll be around for the legendaries and new stuff. But don’t know how much I’ll put into it beyond that. I haven’t spun a stop all week because I can’t spin any without having to actually walk over to them (1st world problems). Like I used to be able to walk to the end of my street and spin some that were across a busy road. I don’t care enough to actually walk across it

Sure I'll be disappointed when they bring the interaction range back to the original distance where I live, but I've played and enjoyed the game for 4 years with that original distance so I'm not gonna stop playing because they are reverting a change that was announced as being temporary in the first place. I do hope they have a change of heart and decide to keep the bigger range though.

Wasn't it proven to be even less than it was before pandemic started though? If so that's shitty for sure! I haven't been playing as much, and won't be putting money into it.

 

I’ve definitely noticed at work that I’ve lost distance based on the old normal.
