Soooooo why does 100% IV actually matter because I don't really know

 

Just means it has the best stats possible basically.

usually on CD weekends except for Larvitar the day falls so me and my gf are doing our own thing and i can make them all. this weekend we have no plans so i asked her if i could break away for one of the two days and explained to her what it is. she downloaded and will be joining me now! she has only played Yellow so a lot of it is brand new to her. excited to have a perma Pokebuddy now!

 

also i haven’t seen it posted in here - we now have until 1:00 pst on Monday to evolve Eevee and get the community day move. really glad they listened to that.

between that and the repulsive amount of high IV Eevees i’m sitting on, I can really just shiny hunt and relax. will be nice!

 

It doesn’t really make all that much of a difference at the end of the day as far as attacking in raids or gym battles. The difference between a 0% IV versus a 100% IV comes out to seconds shaved off the battle. This is assuming that the 0% and 100% are at the same Pokémon level.

 

finally hit Ultra with a bunch of the discord folks. traded for a shiny Lugia yesterday and have a shiny Articuno on hold from someone else. also have a Kangaskhan on hold. i really want to maintain my living shinydex but im breaking that to get some regionals

Dusclops is the only Pokemon left i can obtain without trading.

 

Literally all of my shinies are in the worst tier of IVs you can get. It's ridiculous. You think it's possible to have negative IVs? Because some of their stats might be that low tbh.

 

I had a 0% IV Goldeen back then, but I'm pretty sure I threw it away.

 

My girlfriend is my pokebuddy. I redownloaded the game in early May for the first time since the first two months of the game. She decided to make a new account (she couldn't get her old one to work) and we now play regularly. It's been a cool excuse to go walking regularly and have talks and it's fun. We're both big fans of the main game series and played Sun & Moon together too.

We both spoke about how we didn't expect each other to love pokemon as we definitely don't have too many other traditionally "nerdy" hobbies or interests, but it's super fun and cute.

 

Does anyone know if you can currently obtain all 8 of Spinda's forms or is it just one design right now? I've caught three now but it still says that I've only caught one design which is number 8 on the dex. Just curious if I should continue to actively look for the research or if it'll just rotate the next time research tasks rotate.

that’s the best! i hope my gf sticks with it. we have plenty of nerdy interests between the two of us but somehow none of them intertwine haha. so this is a nice change of pace from forcing myself to get through Harry Potter movies.

 

One of the only real perks of playing this game in a small town is how infrequently the gyms change hands. Got a pokemon coming up to 48 hours sat in one of my local gyms. Gonna treat myself to some extra storage with the coins I earn from it.

 

see this would drive me nuts haha. given that 50 coins a day/8 hours is the max, i want them outta there by hour 9

 

ha this is hysterical. i beg for that at this point. i usually am knocked out within 2-3 hours.

It went on indefinitely with the old gym system, but now it's limited to 50 coins a day. Even if you have a pokemon in a gym for 2 months, it will not give you anything when it's knocked out if other Pokemon already gave you your 50 accumulated coins on that day.

 

I like the fact that with the modern system, it's not stacked with 10 Blisseys. And I also like the first-in/last-out system since you could take down an entirely full gym in the old system but still be the first one knocked out if you had the lowest CP of your team.

Although it does take away the fun finding a remote gym where your guy is racking up coins for a month straight.

 

I miss getting stardust when your guy came back.


Edit: I honestly think the new gym system would have been almost perfect if they kept the daily stardust you would get. I think it was like 500 or something per day. It was just nice to get it.
