I've managed to get Mr. Mime and Corsola through trading so far, and a friend of mine is holding onto an extra Heracross for me for whenever. Hoping to acquire Relicanth one way or another soon. Him and Unown would feel pretty substantial in my dex.

same. i get mad when i get them in gifts. they're so pointless and a chore to complete especially if these pokemon will all eventually be available in the wild.

 

I’m hoping eventually gift eggs will have different special Pokémon in them other than just the Alolan variants

 

If that research seriously has that "Catch x number of Unown" bullshit and they don't raise the spawn rate at least a little bit, I'll be pissed. I've never seen one.

 

There’s absolutely no way they will be the same challenges.

 

Unless yes, they add Unown to raids or field research which would be amazing. But it was the Go Fest quest for a reason.

Almost hatched a batch of eggs today but instead got them right to the edge so right at four I can get the double and start new ones.

 

At least this time I'll definitely get a go at Zapdos. Don't really have enough 10k eggs to take advantage of this, annoyingly.

Event rewards are live. Double candy on catches/hatches, half egg distance, and extra rare candy from raids.

 

i dont see half egg distance for some reason, i got double candy on catch though

 

Is it not coded the same way as community days i.e. it gets taken off when you put the egg in an incubator?

Yeah the reduced egg distance happens when you start incubating an egg after the event is live (which is now).

 

I’m doing that plus a super egg incubator.

 

Man, I didn’t realize how much I wanted double candy until I got 12 candy from a Slakoth when I used a pineape berry

 

There was a wild Lairon in my neighborhood right when it went live. 20 candy.

 

Double candy is always a hoot.. especially when you have 350 pineapples sitting around taking up space
