This latest update killed all three of my almost finished research tasks that I was saving to get Articuno cool

I only have 1 of each dog and they are terrible IV's so I would welcome a rotation of the dogs with open arms.

 

Something that is lost in the shuffle of more flashy updates is the inclusion of commas in the XP count. Bout damn time.

 

I didn't realize how much I needed this in my life until we got it in the last update lol

 

It all reappeared when I spun a poke stop so that’s nice

 

Got a second shiny Kabuto. If only I could get a shiny Omanyte (let's be real, I won't get a shiny Aerodactyl)

 

Got my first Latias!

 

Got a shiny Aggron today.

Also, I’d been saving the research task “catch a dragon type” which rewards you with 3 rare candy. Needless to say, thanks Alolan Eggexcutor!

 

Finally got my Slacking. And my idiot self collected my 7th stamp today so now I have 5 Zapdos and 0 Articuno til next week.

 

So, been making some progress on this, and beat my first 3* solo raid recently. Can't imagine I'l ever really beat 5* or 4* ones as I don't have enough players in my area that I know but it's a start.

Can someone explain ex-raid passes. Myself and my girlfriend got them but I don't really get what they are.

 

They are an award given out for people who raid. They are random from what I understand, but you have a much better chance of getting them if you raid at public parks. You have to show up at the specified date and time (usually want to get there a little earlier). The raid is for a chance to get Mewtwo and it is the only way to obtain him.

The best way to find out if enough people are going to be there is to either join a local discord chat group for Pokemon go or a lot of places have local Pokemon Go facebook pages set up and people will post if they got an EX Raid Pass, the date, time etc.

 

Oh I see. Thanks for the info. Not sure we are looking to get involved in that stuff yet but it's good to know. There's definitely a fair amount of active people in my area due to gyms changing and being full.

 

Your best chance to have enough people is to be there at the start time as most people do it as soon as it pops.

 

I was hesitant to attend my one EX raid, but when I showed up, we had almost 20 people. Since this is a kind of special event that doesn't happen too often, people actually get pretty excited to participate. You'd be surprised.

 

Just hatched a Bagon and I now have my first Salamence!

Only missing Metagross at this point for the gen 3 mons I’ve seen (I don’t count Absol cause I don’t raid).

 

Unfortunately we cannot attend this one anyway due to work, but I'll keep it in mind for sure. My town isn't huge (80-100k people), and Europe/UK definitely doesn't play it as much as Asia or USA, but my area seems to have a fair amount of active users.

Are these things semi regular?

 

I would say so, but still uncommon enough to keep people interested. It's also far from a sure thing that you'll catch Mewtwo after you beat him so people want as many tries as possible.

Side note, I'll be spending a whole day in downtown Miami before a cruise in a few weeks. Just realized I'll have a decent shot at getting those regionals. Hopefully there's not an event that keeps me from seeing anything other than two different Pokémon.

 

Got my 2nd Mewtwo over the weekend! Stoked for Articuno this weekend, which will put me at 150/151, only missing Kangaskhan from Kanto!

What level were you before you quit? Honestly, they've added so many new ways to get a ton of xp that it really doesn't take as long as it did at first to level up.

 

I don't even remember, I'm not that bummed, but I remember having some cool Pokemon that I'm sad to lose

 

True. I was level 16 when I started again 3 weeks ago, now I'm level 25. My girlfriend started from Scratch and is lvl 21 already.
