typing and effectiveness matter so little for me tbh. idk if i've ever done a raid around here that's taken more than 100-150 seconds, always a matter of "when" not "if". i run what's fun within the realm of the effective typings.

 

I wonder if we will get the xp as if these are a new Pokemon.

Also, as far as I can tell this isn't starting today right? Usually they give us a date and time when an event starts so that would lead me to believe that this is just an announcement to try to get players excited.

 

The ice/fairy type that comes with Alolan Ninetails makes it a real viable dragon counter. Pokemon Go is still lacking a strong fairy type pokemon, and I think that Alolan Ninetails automatically becomes the strongest in the game.

Gardevoir whoops some ass if you have a high stat one with the right moveset (Confusion + Dazzling Gleam). Mine cost me a lot of dust though.

 

That's true. I forgot about Gardevior. I haven't been able to use mine much though, because against Latios/Latias the Confusion quick move is basically useless. Mine is only around 2400CP though, so I need to power it up a bit before it's really useful.

 

That's good though! I'm only at CP2356 with my 93%.

This upcoming event is beyond more interesting than the fighting types.

 

hopefully Alola really is part of Adventure Week and Adventure Week doesn't wind up being shiny Nosepass or something lol

Larvitar for community day!!!! Woo Hoo!

 

So good. Shiny Tyranitar is actually shiny and he's probably my most used Pokemon so this is exciting.

 

I need a good T-tar to take down all of these damn raids.

 

Haven’t really played much since the Dratini event but I think I’m gonna request off for this next community day and rack up some Larvitar candies. I have a lot of T-Tar’s but no candies so it’ll definitely be worth it. Maybe participating in the event will reinvigorate my interest in this game.

 

I've never gotten a Tyranitar so I'm looking forward to hopefully getting a few.

 

Making my having Larvitar as my buddy for the last 5 months pretty pointless. Looking forward to catching a bunch of them though. I still need a good amount of candy for Tyranitar.

Does anyone know if lucky eggs and star pieces work for research related XP and star dust?

 

I caught an 802CP Bulbasaur today (in a gender I’d never caught) and a 177CP Shiny Bulba back to back today and there were so many conflicting emotions of which to eventually evolve first.

 

Lucky Eggs definitely work for special research XP - I made sure to claim my special research XP when I had a lucky egg activated once I realised that. Have not tested star pieces.
