7th great nest migration too!

 

Apparently a park nearby my work has Onix there. Looks like I'll at least be up to get one of the 10ks I need.

A park near me is now a Seel nest. I'm gonna have to drive downtown for a few hours, aren't I?

 

I think since I've been in Atlanta for two days, my app has opened successfully maybe half the time. How is that still an issue?

 

Finally sat back down and figured this out. As you can see, some of them would be insane walks.

Can they not give users options of which tracker they'd like to use? Is that too difficult for the servers or something? This is really only helpful if you're around a lot of stops

 

Are Pokemon still spawning randomly or just by pokestops now?

 

They should still be spawning randomly. At least they are for me

 

They still spawn, you just can't see if anything close to you if you have a Pokestop within view on your screen.

They made it where it will revert back to the old tracker if no Pokestops are around, but not even that works the same. Mine usually only says one Pokémon is "nearby" when I know for a fact there are tons more within range.

The tracker is a huge step backwards UNLESS you are in a place with a ton of stops. In that case, its amazing. It helps you narrow down where they are so you can go straight to them.

 

Well my home and office both suddenly stopped being spawn spots. It's it's just about winter time. So I guess this is goodbye for now.

 

Got the new tracker in the UK too, weird that I didn't need to update & it was just there.

Also got TWO 2km eggs in a row last night, but it's so fucking cold atm and the streets are slippery with frost/ice I don't know if I can even walk enough to hatch them for a little while!

 

I caught 4 Charmander this morning! A local park became a Charmander nest. It was a Geodude nest last week. Yay!

 

I have yet to find a decent nest.

 

Can't wait for Silph to be updated, hopefully I get some good nests of stuff I need by me.

 

So what is the range of the pokestop read that shows up in your sighted?

 

Found a park near me that was a Pikachu nest, then a Staryu nest...will have to check it out again today and see if it changed

 

Genuinely like this new tracker - with it I was able to get a Squirtle, Ponyta, Vulpix, Dratini and a 1500+cp Electabuzz in a 30min walk! Could've got an Onix and Grimer if I had more time. In my (limited) experience they always spawn really close to the pokestop that the sightings list says it's by, most within a 30 second walk - except one Diglett that was elusive for me!

Knowing the actual spawn points is a massive help, which admittedly is easier in a small town like mine that I'm very familiar with.

 

I guess I'm the tracker can be useful downtown or in busy areas. It makes playing around my house impossible though. I can no longer see what is 10 steps outside my door and a bit down the street but I can now see that's there's a pidgey 5 minutes across the neighborhood....

 

This was my complaint a couple weeks ago but no one seemed to know what I was talking about. haha. Didn't realize not everyone had it yet...

But yeah, if you get to a downtown area, it will save you loads of time because you can go directly to whatever you're looking for. It still isn't perfect even in that setting though, as you're still only seeing what's at the Pokestops. There could still be a Dragonite 30 ft. away from you, but if he's not by a Pokestop, you won't see him on the tracker.

 

The humongous wow big nest downtown that has up to 20 of the same pokemon at a time changed from Kabuto to Geodude...... Nooooooooo

 

Have y'all noticed it takes quadruple the amount of balls to catch anything since the tracker update or do I just have seriously shitty luck? I had eight different Pokemon in a row run from me today. Also had a Pidgey break out of six poke balls, six great balls, and six ultra balls before catching. I got angry when three Pokeballs hadn't worked, and then LIVID when it wasn't a Ditto.

 

Not getting a Ditto after a million tries now is way more infuriating than getting an Eevee as a 10km.

 

Yeah I've caught every rattata, pidgey, and spearow I've come across and had no luck.

 

I caught Ditto after about 70 catches. After getting every Pidgey possible, he was disguised as a Magikarp when I still needed my Gyarados. Of course.

 

I got my Ditto on the second day after like 10-15 catches. It was a Rattata.
