Saw a Magnemite silhouette last night at the mall, but couldn't find it. Surprising cause Electric pokemon NEVER spawn around me. I sought out Pikachu's heavy to get a Raichu just this past month, but I have caught maybe 9 Voltorbs, Hatched 2 Electabuzz and that's pretty much it since the beginning.

 

Same, electric type are just hard to find. Only hatched one Voltorb and Electabuzz. I found one spot a long time ago that would spawn a single Magnemite every time I rode by on my bike, but that's the only time I've caught anything like that.

 

Stop going so fast

 

I completely understand that this game is for "walking," but I really didn't even mind when they made it where you can't catch Pokemon at a certain speed. Not being able to hit Pokestops is what may do it for me. I have a 45 minute commute to work everyday and my daughter goes to the school I teach at. There are a ton of stops on the way to my job and she would get stops for me, which may sound like I'm whining, but it was great, because then me and my daughter could go on hunting adventures around the neighborhood and actually have the resources to catch them. Now, it's just not even worth it because I don't have stops around my house. It's like for every good thing they do there is something implemented to counteract it.

 

But I have long legs.

 

Moving into a new apartment today and just realized I'm a block away from a tiny park that has seven Pokestops and a gym. Might be something to keep me playing through winter.

 

133! Got my Machamp finally.

I think I can realistically get to 135 and that's it. Two candy til Cloyster and 5 candy til Dewgong.

 

You can have both of mine if you slide that Machamp on over this way.

Niiiice. Did you get a significant amount of candies at all?

Got my first 10k egg in the last 20 I think. I want to be excited but damn they've let me down so many times.

 

My Grimer came with 21 off the bat, not too shabby.

Not bad. I just see every candy now as "Kilometers I don't have to walk" is why I asked haha I've walked my Magikarp 46k so far and still have 57 candies to go. Every time I catch one I just think about how it saved me four kilometers.

 

Trying to think that way but it appears I do not walk daily as much as I thought. Inching my way to my last 2 Growlithe candies needed, then one for Geodude, then 5 for Slowpoke. TAKING FOREVER.

 

I feel like I caught Geodudes all the time when the game first started but then they just kind of disappeared. Still 30 away I think.

After I get Gyarados, I'll probably switch to walking for a Machamp since I've still only ever seen one Machop. Probably out of luck for Grimer sand Dragonite because I don't think I can do those without lucky hatches.

 

Wound up having my afternoon shift cancelled, so I walked around town and get to cross off Arcanine, Graveler, and Elecrode just from 2 hours of playing. And to think I was starting to lose hope. 121 caught.

 

Got a Kadabra and Weezing today. Glad I'm playing way less.

 

Yeah I pretty much just leave my app on if I'm walking around. Not too exciting seeing a Paras and Pidgey everywhere you open your app. The diversity has actually gotten worse.

 

Has this ever happened to anyone? I saw a Charmeleon in the wild, went to click on him and i got a red ERROR message. He disappeared then almost immediately got replaced with an Eevee! WTF MAN!

 

Happened once to me but with a more common poke. Can't remember who it was though

 

Just need Machamp and Venusaur now. Found a Muk bychance yesterday, wish that I hadn't wasted time with Gtimer as my buddy.

 

It happens almost every day to me. Never had it happen with such a rare thing. It's just when it loads up the Pokemon that spawned there before but then updates to what's actually there.

 

Saw a Pikachu on the nearby list today. Never seen a wild one but I just could not be assed to go and get it. Think I've turned a corner now and now just have less and less drive to open the app full-stop. I've beat my addiction!!!

 

I've never had it happen when one Pokemon was there and then got straight up replaced with another. With my cases, the Pokemon are always overlapping and then whichever was there first will disappear. It's like it doesn't register that the Pokemon has timed out until you click on it.

 

When it happened to me, I guess my phone's gps was messing up because I didn't even recognize the map where I said it was. I clicked the Pokémon then got the error. The screen flashed and reloaded to the area where I was
