Hatched 4 10k eggs yesterday got 3 jinx and a eevee, i wanted to quit the game after that.

 

Hah, I get it though! If it makes you feel any better I spent the first 2 months of the game in Pokemon mecca (aka San Francisco) and I'm still not done and probably never will be because I've never even seen a hint of a chansey and I've hatched enough 10k eggs to practically build a Pokemon army and still nope.

 

The event may or may not still be going on and the online tracker may or not be working properly again...

 

This is my nightmare.

Think they'll do other events like this in the future? They had to have made a killing..

 

Was cool for the candies and stuff but I'm already tired of only seeing Gastly and Cubones everywhere

 

I was playing last night and trying to take advantage of the final hours of this promotion.

During a two hour stint, the game gave me a Dratini hatch from a 10K egg. This came with 64 candies. Then it gave me two Dratini spawns in my immediate area. This allowed me to evolve one and FINALLY get a Dragonite.

I was also 20+ candies from evolving another Gyrados and it seemed like spawns favored Magikarp up until I had enough.

I swear, the game has been trying to help me fill my dex in the last few days. Its felt very nice.

 

I had two more 10k eggs hatch: Aerodactyl and Jynx, both of which were needed. I have one more 10k about to hatch (9.44/10). Hopefully, I can get something needed out of that one as well. I am now up to 131 caught/133 seen. Thanks to the Halloween event, I have caught 15 Gengars. I had 1 before and that was only after walking my buddy Haunter to the 100 candies.

Edit: The 10k egg was a fucking Pinsir...with fury cutter.

 

True. I spent money on incubators.

 

I need 6 more: Charizard, Venusaur, Dugtrio, Muk, Machamp, and Aerodactyl. I'm so far away from Charizard and Venusaur. I need some new nests pronto.

 

Event is still on so I guess I'm still walking.

 

DON'T need any more Doduos, thanks eggs! Grimer or bust at this point.

 

Yeah man they HAVE to do another event like this. They would be stupid not to. Either they let people slowly quit playing the game, or they do these events where people are absolutely hyped about spending real money on incubators to utilize the bonus to its full potential. I know it got me, but I had a blast racking up Pokedex entries that I would have never gotten otherwise.

 

When do y'all think they'll release generation two? My guess would be around spring time after most people have had time to finish their dex/the weather gets nice

 

When's the next event? Thanksgiving? What Pokemon would they do? And Christmas?

 

I doubt they do Thanksgiving since it isn't an international holiday. Christmas is tough since there are almost zero ice poke. Maybe they'll release Articuno?

Snorlax for Thanksgiving because I eat all the turkey and then sleep all day.

 

I feel like they're still going to draw Gen 1 out until next Spring if not Summer, only because they haven't done anything with the legendary birds, Ditto, or Mew/Mewtwo. I feel like those might be special events in themselves. Who knows.

I've been playing since about the first week of release and still have a ways to go to complete the Pokedex just because of where I live, so giving a full year is fair considering some people may have picked up the game well after the release. I feel like it is going to be quite impossible to get the more rare Pokemon you still need once the Pokedex doubles.

 

Events don't have to be focused around specific Pokémon. They can do stardust events or faster egg hatching events or more candy events or maybe we get to pick a Pokemon as a gift or something. There's lots of possibilities.

 

Holy shit I forgot about ditto

 

I still think ditto is non-existent because he'll come from a feature that doesn't exist yet. Not sure what it is, but being a specific cloning pokemon makes sense to me that it would be a different way to get him

 

Yeah they obviously had something special in mind for him. That's a random Pokemon to leave out of the game. haha.

Edit: Also, I'm hoping that at some point they migrate the region exclusive Pokemon. That would help get people interested again. I hardly ever see a Tauros but I have a handful of them so I would definitely keep playing if I knew our exclusive was changing to something else.
