This seems really uncalled for given that the worst anyone has done in this thread is either lightly argue their favorite songs or been hyperbolic to express their enthusiasm for the album and neither of those are awful bad things

This only happened the once, I don't remember who else expressed indifference besides me but I remember all involved were needlessly dismissive and a little mean spirited about it, if we really wanna do the blame thing. One interaction that wasn't that big of a deal shouldn't color all future interactions, and it shouldn't warrant out of the blue negativity imo

 

This album is fucking killer, my god. Dry Spells, Charisma and Fake Lightning are probably my favorites. Only fully listened to this and Keep You but both are wonderful. I remember when this band first started not being impressed, but they definitely stepped their game up a thousand percent

 

I disagree with anyone who says this band is no longer heavy. It's heavy in a different way, and I would dare say that this record is a lot heavier than Keep You. Screaming vocals are not the only way a band can be brutal. PBTT has converted that pain and anguish into enormous guitars and drums that are kicking my fucking ass right now.

yea but he also said he was really having a tough time that day so that clearly effected how he's going to react to stuff. Like I said I think your best bet is to block him. No more arguments and you don't need to read the things he says.

 

Pretty sure he’s the same one that berated me too because I don’t like FOB or Pete Wentz, and thought I didn’t understand what it was like to have a case of sexual abuse hit close to home. Just saying, more than one incident.



This album flourishes as it goes on. The intro drum rhythm has been stuck in my head for 2 hours.

 

This album is connecting with me in a more immediate way than Keep You did. I think I will appreciate Keep You more when I revisit it after digging into this deeper. Good stuff.

 

again thats why there is a block button. Jake's been a part of the community for a long time and has friends who understand his.. somewhat agressive tendencies. Doesn't mean you have to put up with it though thats why you have the option of ignoring a user.

You know it’s ALFM teebs but it’s been a string of incidents I’ve been noticing and the way people are hand waving it away isn’t ok.

I’ve had him blocked for months but I still see him starting shit from context.

 

its not like a ton of people don't also have @cwhit blocked! ha JK also you get in way less confrontations with people than you used to.

 

I remember Keep You being a big deal because it was a complete departure of their previous sound and something very fresh sounding. Though, it didn’t seem to stick with me for very long. I see myself fully diving into this one and really loving it for some time after.
