I had never heard Waiting Room before and it just sent me on a soulseek dive to find some other rare stuff of hers (I don't think any of it's on spotify or whatever, I really hope she puts it on her bandcamp at some point)

highlights: Turned Around is an amazing pop-punk jam that could have been a massive single at the right time. The original version of Chelsea is pretty incredible, the guitars remind me of Unforgettable Fire-era U2 (a very good thing). and there's an Elliott Smith cover floating around, Whatever (Folk Song in C), which I mean... Phoebe covering Elliott literally cannot turn out bad

In the past year, Phoebe has become one of my favorite artists and released... possibly my favorite album. I woke up with Smoke Signals in my head and just laid in bed singing it to myself like a dork

I might get a tattoo of "Anyway, don't be a stranger" at some point.

 

A couple more days till I see her!!!!!!!
