One of my most anticipated - was just putting a blurb together about the release. This track is so good too.

 

I feel like she opens for every show I go to.

But yah, definitely recommend.

Phoebe Bridgers On World Cafe

 

For any Michigan people, I just found a date on April 17th in Grand Rapids at Calvin College. I'm not really sure why it hasn't been promoted by Phoebe at all.

I'll be going to both the Detroit show and the Grand Rapids show and I'm hyped.

 

NICE I’ve been so bummed about not being sure I’ll able to catch her in March. Hopefully I can make that one.

The call and response between Phoebe and Connor Oberst in "Would You Rather" is so magical. Most of this album makes me sad, but that song brings me so much joy.

 

The music video always makes me smile.

 

Pretty disappointed that she's going through with touring with Pinegrove in the UK.

i guess you weren't in the thread but pinegrove hasn't said anything about those dates happening so as of now i just assume they haven't been cancelled yet as opposed to them being on. don't think it's fair to put any judgment on her yet when the band hasn't made any comments since the original ones.

i can't imagine people in the band going through with the tour if evan hasn't actually done what the victim's wishes are. plus if he just comes back like nothing happened the whole community will be outraged and this tour will also fail. i'm not saying this to support him but i think we're still in wait and see mode

 

I think it's okay to be disappointed but at the end of the day it's a business obligation with contracts in place that might not allow her to drop out scot free and without a big financial hit.

 

lol I absolutely will not set foot in a Pinegrove thread, no worries. My disappointment comes from her actively promoting it. That seems to be a pretty clear indicator to me that it's happening. Still no word from the other members of the band about Evan either. I've been doing a lot of "waiting and seeing" and I'm not seeing anything encouraging. It just sucks.

 

yeah i totally get it. just from what i know things still seem to be sort of up in the air. i don't particularly think phoebe is still involved in this scene as well so she might not know all the details. but we don't know what she knows.

i know that sheridan from punk talks recently made comments about how evan isn't entirely irredeemable and i'm pretty sure she is working with evan's victim here. but evan shouldn't have even made the whole post in the first place because the victim didn't even put out a public account that stayed up for a while, i imagine most of this situation is being handled privately as it should be. i'm absolutely not supporting pinegrove right now but i feel weird about disappointed at phoebe until there's any actual statements in regards to this tour or evan's treatment.

 

plus i really don't want another super talented woman to feel the collateral damage from shitty men being shitty
