    Maybe so, maybe not.

Stash is my favorite Phish song and notable 3.0 versions are very few and far between. Deer Creek and Shoreline give me hope that it becomes a favorite jam vehicle again.

sorry to divert the convo from 4.0 for a second, but i just wanted to say i'm really obsessed with both ghosts of the forest and sigma oasis, songwriting and production on both of these records blows me away, especially given that trey's an artist that's struggled with both consistently (imo)

  5. TAB was fucking awesome last night. First time right on the rail at a big show like that - got down by pure luck when they forgot to rip my buddy's ticket. They sound amazing

  6. Saw Pink Talking Fish last night, pretty great band and nice dudes. I guess they were coming off selling out Brooklyn Bowl, and we saw them in this little tiny theater room with maybe 100 people lol. Great vibes though.

Also I can't stop thinking about this meme

Obviously a massive bummer about the tragedy at the Chase Center, but man...this quote has me laughing hard:

UPDATE: Phish Fan Injured After Being Fallen On at SF Chase Center Concert Describes Brush with Death

“My first thought, after hoping the guy’s OK, was hoping I wouldn’t have to miss the second set,” he said. “With the on-site doctor’s consent, I convinced them to wheel me back in for the last 40 minutes while I waited for my wife to pick me up to take me to an Oakland hospital.”

  11. Any Halloween guesses? Seems like the most common in order I see on twitter are Royal Scam, Sports, or new material but my guess is Loveless

Apparently, there has been a PSH 1983 flyer showing up at every show in different sizes. Maybe a bunch of popular songs from 1983? That'd be fun.

  13. Woah I missed this. I kinda don't think Phish would say "blow minds" and I thought Mike doesn't like "cactus." But good lead, 1983 jukebox would be great. Or maybe Phish songs from 1983? And So To Bed? much to think about...

You'd have to ask the venue I guess. Security is usually run at that level or by livenation. Generally I think they try to keep the show going if at all possible to avoid releasing a crowd of 10s of thousands of possibly angry/fucked up fans into the streets at unexpected times when people's rides and stuff might not be arranged. The band almost definitely wasn't informed until after the show from what I've heard. It's a pretty terrible situation all around but I'm not sure stopping the show would've been helpful

Deleted my comment because I didn't want to add negativity to this thread but I don't understand the decision to continue the show.

  18. Yeah that's fair. I don't know what would've been right to do. Not to seem defensive but from what I've heard from people who would know, it really almost certainly had nothing to do with the band themselves. All venue decisions

  19. Someone made a really good point which is that for any large event the most dangerous thing is always a crowd rush or stampede. If you stop the show, make an announcement that someone died to tens of thousands of dosed and now stressed, traumatized, angry, and confused fans and then tell them all to get out...I think that would've ended really badly.

I think not stopping the show was very much the right move.

Love the piece. “Farmhouse” was also my gateway into the band. That song is directly tied to spending summer nights at my best friends cabin in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. A beautiful melody (obviously) that I still find myself singing over 20 years later.

Hoist is the studio record of theirs that I stand by the most though, just love that one to death.
