Emo Night at Kung Fu Necktie tommorow night for all the Philly newcomers. Ain't nothing like listening to Jimmy Eat World while knocking back a Citywide Special.

Going to the Filmore for the first time to see Circa Survive next weekend. What's the best lot (paid is fine) nearby? I hear Sugar house is free and easy for parking.

Fishtown usually has street parking and I've never had any problems. as far as lots, I've only heard of Sugarhouse which you've already mentioned.

edit: regarding sheetz vs wawa, I think it just depends on what you're looking for. I feel like wawa is better quality/fresher, but sheetz has way better options/variety and it's cheaper.

I didn't know Sugarhouse was free. I used to go rock climbing right across the street from it where parking was a huge issue. That info would have helped haha

I've been to multiple shows at Festival Pier which is down the street and I've parked at Sugar House for free every time. I've never seen a show at The Fillmore but I've been to The Foundry a few times and I've parked on the street right near the venue with no problem.

Thank you for the help. I'm one of those suburban dweebs who gets anxious when he journeys into the "big city."

Thought I'd swing in here after Jake was telling me about this thread and asking about parking at the Fillmore as well. I've been there twice and never had any issues parking. They have one or two big lots beside the venue. I forget how much it cost, but just thought I'd throw in my two cents and let you know I've never experienced any issues.

    Thanks!
I'll be there tonight for Circa Survive and next week for Frank Turner. Anyone else heading to either show?

Monks is the beeeeeeest. I also love Good Dog which is right down the street (I think?)

  19. Has anyone ever been to Mac's Tavern ? If so, is it good ? My girlfriend really wants to go.

It's okay. Foods pretty good but not worth bragging about. There's a couple of mementos for Always Sunny in there. Middle of the road bar that's popularity just stems from its connection to the TV show.

  21. That's what I kind of figured, I still wanna go though. I always love checking out different bars and taverns. What are some quality bars in the city ?
