I don't normally take photos of food at restaurants, but I'll make an exception tonight haha

you dont understand why someone might take a picture of food?

 

No I can't imagine looking at it ever plus it shouldn't be outside my tummy long enough to take a picture

 

I mean I get it and see the validity of doing it but I also loathe it ya know

 

i don't think taking pictures of food is weird per se, i know culinary professionals that consider what they do art, so it is nice for them to see their work online and appreciated, but i do think it gets extremely overdone a lot.

 

I probably have 500+ photos of food on my phone and less than 20 of those are photos of food I didn't cooked. Food is love, as Julia Roberts explained, and sometimes that love is worth sharing.

 

Also, culinary amateurs. But yeah, I agree.

 

It's different for you obviously

 

the overdone facet is what irks me, as tho people are more excited about posting their food online than eating it and that's a sad precedent, I think

i've definitely gotten the side-eye/weird look from a server or person at a neighboring table but i've also been guilty of doing it as well. say la vee right? bone apple tea

 

I like eating and seeing what people eat. But I follow some ppl that post pics of their like shitty bowl of cereal and that I really don't get lol. Show me a dope bowl or ramen or something, I don't care what you had for breakfast (unless it's pancakes)
