I know, sorry. Been busy.

Rather than write it all out I’m just going to post the text that I sent my former GM about the situation so the tense might be all weird.


Every time we open together I am in charge of opening the safe and she’s in charge of opening the concessions stand and every single time she comes in late. And I don’t mean 5-10 minutes. I mean 25-40 minutes late which means that I have to get the safe ready while simultaneously opening the concessions stand while being the only manager in the building. One time it was like 10 minutes to open and she still hadn’t shown so I called her and she was still asleep. Well, yesterday we were supposed to be there at 8:45 and 9:15 rolled around and no sign of her. Rather than calling her. I figured I’d rather have my shift suck and be able to use this against her than call and wake her up. I finally got a text from her around 10:10, after doors were already open. She got there around 10:30-10:40, two hours after her shift was supposed to start. Rather than apologizing, one of the first things she said to me was, “why didn’t you call me!?” which is completely indicative of her incapability to take any responsibility for her actions.

I then found out that when she comes in late she falsifies her time by writing it in the book so it looks like she came in on time. So, essentially, she’s getting paid for my work. Today she wrote that she came in at 8:50am and I have a text after 10am saying that she is on her way. I also took a picture of her falsified time and the employee guidelines that state that disciplinary action up to and including termination will be taken for falsifying one’s timecard.

So, since then I spoke to the GM, I found another instance of her falsifying her timecard, and I wrote an official statement. To me it seems like there would have been no possible way for her to stay employed there but she is. And what’s worse is that she refuses to acknowledge my existence (as she knows that I’m the only one who could have brought this shit to light) and has also been apparently talking trash about me to other managers...as if I did anything wrong lol. She’s one of those people who absolutely cannot be wrong but loves taking credit for anything that goes right. She’s also a massive kiss ass and I know that she’s all buddy buddy with the GM and he only knows that version of her, which I warned him of, but it doesn’t matter. It’s just frustrating to a a company value a narcissistic, manipulative, liar over someone who is just trying to do their job the best they can and is frustrated when that is directly hindered due to another manager’s incompetence but it is what it is I guess. But after that I’m just like fuck this I’m out. I really do hate that I’m the one who is leaving because I feel like she’ll probably think she “won” or some shit but I suppose that’s beyond my concern at this point. I just hate when people who are so blatantly wrong refuse to see their shortcomings and take any responsibility.

 

@Dog with a Blog that reminds me of the time (shortly before I quit) where the opening manager slept in 45 minutes while I was waiting outside to open concessions. We had like 10 minutes to open and the GM pulled up right when the opening manager showed up. The GM screamed at ME for not calling her and the opening manager didn’t get any shit.
