weird, to me that's hands down their worst, haha

  2. It was my first Paramore album, I fell in love with them and listened to that album a billion times, drove a few hours to see them play when that album first came out, etc. Lots of memories with it. None of their others really connected with me all that much. Riot! was close. But the ones after that, while still being good albums, just didn't connect with me the same way, especially the self titled one. I don't even know if I've listened to the whole album all the way through, to be honest.

Y'know what, thinking about it, I reckon Riot! is my least favourite of theirs. It's the record that got me into them, and it has some proper fucking tunes on it, but the other 3 just connect better I think. First time I've really thought about it actually...

Woo! Ilan is most definitely a better drummer, but he obviously was never going to be official, and Zac was always a great fit. Really interested to hear how he's meshed with Taylor and Hayley during this writing and record process, since they really expanded the boundaries of their sound without him.

I'm excited Zac is back; I never liked Aaron and I missed Zac's drumming. But I would never want Josh to come back. I still don't know how I feel about Jeremy yet (I did miss him on Parahoy though).

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Josh is a shithead so I'd prefer him to stay far away from Paramore.

    Excited for this.

I'd like to see an album that takes the best of both the self titled and BNE. I loved some of the pop songs on the last record but I miss the side of Paramore that felt influenced more by bands like Jimmy Eat World.

It's my one worry for the upcoming record, that they'll lean too much towards the pop side this time.

  15. Imo they've showcased that they pretty much kill it at whatever they do so I'm all in for some more exploration, as well as I would be for some throwback Paramore. If we're being realistic, we can probably expect a little bit of both.

I am not worried about what style or direction they go in, they have proven themselves to be able to succeed when their hearts are in it

  17. I have big faith in them, whatever they put out. I'm still baffled at the mostly mixed critical reception their S/T got. Underrated album and easily their best one.

I always thought the S/T was their most critically acclaimed album so far. Maybe not among fans because of the sound change, but certainly among critics. And it got a lot of press. If anything, I feel like BNE got the short stick and had a lot less attention than Riot! and S/T overall besides "The Only Exception". I go back and forth between S/T and BNE as my favorite Paramore album, but BNE has three of their best songs ever for me ("Brick By Boring Brick," "Careful," and "Misguided Ghosts").

  19. it's just too long. there's a few songs that could have been cut and it might have been more solid. i don't think i've gotten through the entire album in one sitting.

I think it's a blast to listen to all the way through. But the end of the record does start to drag for me. In a perfect world, if "(One of Those) Crazy Girls" and "Be Alone" were swapped for, say, two of the best cuts on Brand New Eyes, the album would be nearly perfect.

"be alone" is an amazing song and the s/t is definitely not too long imo. it works really well as a double album

  23. Only songs I don't really like on s/t are Crazy Girls and Be Alone. The interludes I could do with or without, they've never really bothered me or felt like they brought the album down. But yeah, I skip Crazy Girls every time haha.

I'd cut "Be Alone" and "Now" but other than that it's fantastic. I love the interludes.

I love all of S/T except for Hate to See Your Heart Break. Also: anyone who is against the interludes is crazy. They are perfect.
