I’ve been a casual Paramore fan since their debut but This Is Why is the first record that’s really grabbed me in a way that I’m now beyond stoked to see what they come up with next.

So yeah - fingers crossed for a new record to already be in the works! I wonder if they’re going to go fully independent and not rely on a label for the next record. They’re big enough to do a very successful album cycle if they want to.

They’ve been touring a ton and seem to take their recording process very seriously so I’d be surprised if they already cooked something up…unless it’s like a 3 song EP

 

I mean, this is probably just a publicity stunt as Hayley has done this type of thing before. My money is on that. However, 2/3 of the band is in a romantic relationship soooo if that was to go south I could see the band abruptly and unexpectedly end as well.

I respectfully disagree. Souring relationships have been a source of instability behind the band in the past. All I was highlighting was the unique circumstances the band is operating under and their potential consequences in a thread full of recent rampant speculation.

Yea but you're just making something up out of nowhere and it's disrespectful, it's wishing ill on strangers you don't know and we're just here to talk about music we love. Go to perezhilton.com or something and get your rocks there.

It's clearly a promotional thing, dropping new music would be ridiculous but also right before going on the Eras tour wouldn't be a terrible idea. Or maybe it's a cruise Parahoy announcement, or tour, who knows. Point being, we're all excited and staying positive here because music is magnificent and enjoyable for most of us that come to this site for more positive stuff than you can get elsewhere.

 

I don’t remember wishing ill will on anyone, but alright. Forget I said anything. Either way, they’ve got us talking. Mission accomplished.

 

Hayley did the quick follow up thing already with Flowers for Vases and the band seems pretty energized so I wouldn’t be surprised if they had a new album ready for next year

 

Everything being wiped is probably just down to them being done with their Atlantic contract but I’ll take more music from them if they’ve got it

I think This is Why has settled in as my favorite Paramore album? If we include solo Hayley, then Petals for Armor is still probably 1a and this 1b, but for proper Paramore, I don’t think any full album currently works better for me. Idk, it just rules.
