Yeesh that James Corden performance tho. Turning me off on seeing them during this cycle.

Definitely not their best performance, but to be fair, that seemed like such a weird crowd. Clapping almost the entire time and cheering at random times was pretty odd. They sounded fine on Kimmel and they've always been solid live so I think it's safe to give it a pass.

Movements feel stilted, they seem a little uncomfortable in those outfits. I don't actually think these new songs (as much as I love them) have come off really well live.

I know they have a rep for being a great live band and I haven't seen them since probably like Warped Tour 2005... but I'd rather my first time be with a more traditional live set if that makes sense.

I feel like these new songs crush live. I understand what you mean about the movements, but I've felt like the slightly "robotic" thing (for lack of a better word) is intentional and is a vibe they're trying to put off. I think it's cool, but I can see how it could be perceived differently.

All of these performances have been A+ and the main reason I feel like I need to go to the tour

They were amazing the only time I've seen them. I'm super excited for September and can't wait to hear the new songs live.

I saw them at Warped tour twice I believe and then once on the Honda Civic Tour back in 2010 (?) with NFG.

So its been a really long time, but I'm really excited to see them at Riot Fest and in the Fall

No Friend has quickly become one of my favorite penultimate tracks on any album. Its placement is perfect. It winds the record down perfectly and puts the listener in a properly sad, thoughtful mood before Let Me Know concludes the album. Also, this entire record is intense and transparent, but I feel like it goes to another level from the bridge of Caught In the Middle all the way to the end. There's a lot of urgency that really makes that whole stretch of the album feel like one of the most climactic parts of their entire career.

Ah. I guess that's fair. When I'm transposing songs I always think about it in half steps. Since the song is originally in the key of F# and I pulled it way down to C.

Which is basically 48 sixteenth steps.

I... uh,,, loved the Corden performance a lot. You people have the weirdest standards for what lives up to your expectations. That's about as good as you can expect from a Late Night TV performance.

They sound great despite typical bad TV mixing. People have always been so harsh on them for not being 200% perfect. They also put on the best live show of any band I've ever seen, every time I see them. You will absolutely miss out if you decide not to see them based on not liking how they dance in a certain outfit.

Thank you for saying this because I've been deciding on if I should spent the amount I'm about to spend on tickets but this makes me feel reassured that it is a good decision and not a dumb way to spend my money haha

Just saw a comment on their latest FB post about playing the late late show, where the person thanks Hayley for teaching them about the earth being flat, and joining the flat Earth society. Uhm, what?!?
