we are really still doing this and wasting this much space in the thread, okay.

 

It's too on the nose. Even the title.

 

How? I love metaphorical and symbolic writing, but it isn't necessary for good lyric-writing nor does it equate to a set of lyrics being good. I think simple, straightforward lyric can be incredibly effective, as they are here. Why is that a bad thing?

Not every lyric or song has to be some deep, metaphorical, philosophical journey. Sometimes, hitting directly to the point is perfect for the tone and the direction of the song.

 

on a different note anyone else in love with the ad-libs during the pre-chorus of Fake Happy after "If I smile with my teeth" it's like an "uh" and man idk but I LOVE that shit

 

Song makes me want to wear mascara and scream paramore out my window. Him love it.

 

Every. Single. Time. I hear that little "uh" in my car while driving I do a little dance/punch the air.

All I'm going to say in response to the last 3 pages is that the Kardashian line was so ridiculous I actually laughed out loud.

Anyway... It's crazy to me that it's been, what, two weeks? But this already feels like an album that's an actual part of my life, like I've been listening to it for 10 years.

 

That's how I feel about the little "uh" in "take my glasses off" in RCB

I don't know if you kids "care" about this "kind of" "stuff" but I did a quick cover of Rose-Colored Boy.

If anything, it's entertaining because I drop my pick right before the bridge, and manage to stumble through the rest of the song.

 

I think my fave lyrics are from RCB. I relate waaaaay too hard lol

RCB is so good. Probably my favorite Paramore song.

"No Friend" is a cool thing for fans, but such a bad choice in the album sequencing. Happy they included it as a separate track so I can delete that ish.
