I had it at #3 on my list, but I think "Decode," "Brick By Boring Brick," and now "Idle Worship" are all pretty interchangeable as far as my favorite Paramore songs go.

Not gonna lie. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this new album, but if they decided to go the "Decode" route with their sound I'd be so psyched.

Heck, I'm gonna call it now. Next Paramore record is going to be a darker indie post-rock record. And since Aaron Weiss was on this last album, that's not remotely far-fetched.

gosh i love him, did he contribute in any way their songs before S/T ?

 

He wrote the music to All I Wanted and co-wrote Decode, Playing God, Feeling Sorry, and Misguided Ghosts. Oh and obviously the singles club songs if you haven't heard those.

 

strangely those are some of my favorite songs of their entire discography lol. welp besides the singles club ones. In The Morning was great but the three others were a weird attempt at sounding like what people thought Paramore was. they mentioned that on the Zane Low interview if I remember well, that Taylor was trying to write like Josh at the time, then he realized he didn't feel inspired and had to change it up.

 

Some people are out of touch with reality. Plain and simple.

 

That's one of my least favourite songs by them, ha.

 

Performance was so good.

 

Oh my, those were both glorious. I definitely teared up during Hard Times because of how perfect they are.

 

I really don't think this will leave my car CD player for the rest of the summer.

 

Wow Jimmy Kimmel performances were amazing. Confirms that these songs are going to be bangers live. Probably a smart move to play Ain't It Fun (as an "ohhh that band" for the unenlightened viewer).

 

Is it October yet? So ready to see them live again. And I somehow managed to get third row tickets in the presale for Toronto so I am just going to die that night of pure joy.

 

I don't really like Forgiveness, 26, No Friend or Tell Me How

not sure about Fake Happy or Pool

The rest I'm a fan of, guess that makes me about 50/50 at this point

 

Truly surprised I don't see Looking Up on anyone's list. Really love that song as well, but I think i'm the only one that had it top 10.

Decode would be an honorable mention. It's a good track, and they really blew up from it...but....Twilight....ergghhhh.

 

It's on mine :) I love that song.

EDIT: Admittedly, it felt better to listen to it prior to Josh and Zac leaving haha.

 

Who actually cares if it was on the soundtrack to Twilight? As if that has anything to do with the quality of the song

 

I don't care about a song being on a Twilight soundtrack but I also don't remember liking any songs from them. I think Death Cab did one too and I didn't like that song either.

 

Okay but people were talking about Decode being a part of their top 10 favorite Paramore songs, not whether or not they could bring themselves to buy it or not so I'm still not sure what it being on the Twilight soundtrack has to do with anything

 

I simply don't like twilight or the music video. Chill out.

 

I am very chill, thanks, just truly don't see what either of those things have to do with the song itself
