all I know is placement matches placed me higher in season 2 but season 3/4 have both been in the same range so I guess it works for me.

 

Season 4 has been bad for me lol ;_; I hope. I can climb up to silver at least :/

 

I'm sure you can climb up! Autolock your best DPS or tank character each match and go to town! You just had some bad luck in placement. Placement matches are a real random bunch of nonsense (I play them looking to just do well on my own and know winning/losing really doesn't affect shit).


Actually had fun again playing as Sombra in quick play last night. Got gold and cards for healing, which amused me, plus I even got a POTG.

 

Honestly surprised how well I'm doing so far this season in placement. Gone 4-0. Fingers crossed.


My God though I get some terrible teammates in 3v3 now.

Really do not get placement matches at all this season. I got exactly the same as @Gwen and went 7-2-1 in placements. I had a 7 game win streak, so was on a huge high coming off the back of it and thinking I'd be pushing close to platinum. I somehow placed lower than I finished last season :/ I finished at 2107 last season (200 lower than my season high after a failed push for platinum) and got placed at 2100 for Season 4. Not a significant drop, but the fact there was a drop at all makes me wonder what the point was in the placement matches. If these were normal matches I'd be back up at my season 3 high, if not higher.

I guess it's tough to tell without actually playing it, but those Ana changes sound like a pretty significant nerf don't they?

as for sombra, i like those buffs, but i was also kinda hoping for the hack range to increase a bit, because she's incredibly squishy. i know the ability itself is very strong, but i feel like just a tiny buff to that could help.

 

Yeah those are pretty significant nerfs. She is basically an S+ tier hero that can do everything so that kind of nerf is huge.

 

I miss the days where Mccree was a S+ tier hero. The fact you could start his ult and if you didn't want to use it just cancel and start it back up at 50% was nuts.

 

Zenyatta being able to target behind barriers is a big improvement imo

 

this is a weird article that doesn't make sense to me. i just think the game should add more maps and modes, more rewards, more things to buy competitive points with. just give more incentives. i hate opening most loot boxes with most of them having sprays and voice lines, often duplicates.

Yeah not a chance they release OW2 in a few years, if ever.

 

I'm trying to just picture a Overwatch two and it makes no sense to me.

 

Yeah it's a lot like WoW in that regard. It will expand, change, etc over the next few years. The official game isn't even a year old and for Blizzard that is nothing.

And yeah I played Orisa on the PTR when she was first out. Def OP she does need a fix. Fun to play if you enjoy tanking tho, especially if you're a Dva player.

 

I mean if we get a sequel or they just add them in I would LOVE single player campaigns for each character. Nothing crazy like an hour or two for each one with lore specific levels.

 

I'm just waiting for the point where all of these updates fill up my entire hard drive.
