Their schtick did start to get a little old. I still check out some of their reviews every now and then though.

Some of the bits do get old at times. But when it’s just two of them talking movies, I think it’s still really great. The Re:Reviews are great for that, in particular.

My roommates love them and make me watch them all the time, I find them pretty annoying. Especially the bald guy with the really annoying laugh

Just got back from this. It ruled. Can't believe this is the same director who made the dullest piece of shit I've ever seen a few years back

Also I was so pumped to see Macon Blair in this, even if it took me a second to recognize him

Went on a half in the bag binge during the pandemic and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Don’t really watch any more tho. Reminds me of all the long arguments with the most annoying people in the world I used to listen to at my friends comic book store

I used to like the Plinkett Star Wars reviews, but I've never really wanted to watch their other stuff. Feels like one of those cases where I see them worshipped somewhere I think has horrible opinions(Reddit) and that ultimately turns me off of them haha

I think the Plinkett stuff (which is how I found them many years ago) is very easily their worst and most annoying version, lol. But, Best of the Worst is great, and I also tend to enjoy Half in the Bag & re:View.

Half in the Bag has some good stuff. Avengers films, Halloween films, Godzilla, the latest Indiana Jones, dunking on MOM, etc.

I don’t typically care to watch a 40 minute video of others critiquing a film, but if it’s of a film I actually like or have many thoughts on then hearing different and/or similar takes on it can be a good time.

I never spent time on their Star Wars reviews because I’m just over that dialogue.

RLM got much, much better once they got away from the Star Wars and 2016 Ghostbusters stuff.

Red Letter Media is great. You very rarely get that perspective from other filmmakers. The Plinkett stuff did age bad but it does feel like every video essayist since then has stolen that style.

The imax presentation of this was exhausting but I thought it was phenomenal overall. Reminded me of Social Network and The Wind Rises.

Aside from RLM, I don’t mind Chris Stuckmann. His takes are pretty good and his videos are typically short.

I somehow managed not to pee for those 3 hours. An astonishing feat.

First third was so disjointed and chaotic. Pace was breakneck to where everything felt sped up. There was hardly any time to absorb anything, it was just a nonstop parade of introductions to several characters that we hardly spend any more time getting to know.

Definitely felt like the score came crashing in and overtaking entire scenes sometimes, idk if that's a Nolan thing but it was very noticeable.

Once they stopped jumping all over the place, I really enjoyed the Los Alamos portion of the film where they focused on the tests. Definitely my favorite part.

There was so many people in this that I almost didn't notice Han Solo was there the whole time lol

    Fight the long defeat.

Between this and Hail, Caesar! he's got all kinds of potential in my mind. I hope this brings him back to mind for other roles going forward.

On the one hand, yeah. Preferable to their deepfake obsession, even if Solo was mostly a dud.

On the other hand, I don’t wish more Star Wars on him, lol.
