I feel like such a POS. I pre-ordered this on iTunes and haven't yet psyched myself up to watch a three hour movie.

I really need to just hit play and let it grab me.

 

Just watched this for the 2nd time tonight with my parents, who were pretty familiar with the Manson/Tate story. I quite liked the film the first time I saw it in the theatre; I f****** loved it after this 2nd viewing. The acting, dialogue, imagery, settings, everything. My parents were like "OMG!!!" at the flamethrower pool scene at the end, hahaha. My Dad: "So this is the alternate history, haha"

Never actually thought that Star Trek movie would happen but glad we have confirmation now. There's no way he would have ever made that his "last" movie

 

Man that would've been so sick though lmao

 

When he's done with movies they should just let him make a Star Trek show for the rest of his life

 

Here is the thing about this movie people...you cannot change history! This movie was totally stupid to me! No matter how horrible the events were that the Manson family did at 10050 Ceilo Drive...you cannot change that! Period! This whole ending was stupid! Why? BECAUSE IT NEVER HAPPENED THAT WAY! Do I wish it could have been different? Yes! But no matter how much I wish history played out another way...it simply did not! I thought this movie was going to be about the actual events that happened! Not some fairy tale version...which was what this movie was because it never happened that way ! The way this movie was made, you may as well have thrown in tinkerbell into it! Because it had absolutely NO basis in reality as far as the Manson murders were concerned! Why people think this is such a great movie is beyond me....might as well make a movie of how president John F Kennedy lived to old age if you are just going to tell a lie!
