Basterds not being in a top 2 astounds me

 

I just love the KB movies too much. They were my gateway QT films.

 

I genuinely disliked H8 when I saw it but I never rewatched it. Will have to do that. I do not comprehend why people rank Death Proof so low. It is continually baffling. I watch it once a year.

 

Overall I like Hateful Eight more than most but I haven’t ever desired to return to it, there are parts that don’t work. Sally Menke is an identifiable change post-IB that I think can be felt in all three movies he’s made since her passing, though Hollywood felt a lot tighter

 

I genuinely love or really like all of his movies. Only issues I have on rewatches are his Pulp and Django cameos.

 

Yeah they’re both pure ego and I cannot imagine the Tarantino who made this movie would make the same choice.

 

Sitting down for my 2nd viewing now, interested in audience reaction on the bigger parts I know coming

 

So biggest audience reaction was the canned dog food to the face. Other observations:

Was able to spot Harley Quinn, Rumor, Maya, and Rebecca Gayheart in the small roles. I was wondering who that woman who was speaking with McQueen and looking over the cast list I think it was Connie Stevens?

The variety of dog food... bird, rat, and raccoon flavors?

When Rick meets James Stacey on set, there’s a deliberate continuity error where in a split second his hat is not on his head and then it is. Is this an in-joke where these errors happened a bunch on early western TV shows?

What was the drink Rick made at home while practicing his lines that included adding egg whites?

I think I enjoyed this more 2nd time around

 

I believe so, but I thought that felt super out of place and odd. Like maybe pull that gag when they're showing the TV show footage, or even when they're shooting the show...but it made no sense to do it in the scene he chose

 

Yea, that took me out of it for a second.

 

Fuck when did they put JB on Netflix? I swear it wasnt there like last week, awesome

I was stunned to learn Willis’s daughter was in this when I went on IMDB after seeing it. Where does she show up?

 

No I’m pretty sure it’s dreama walker

 

Dreama Walker and one of the Willis’ were in there for a few seconds

I thought it was ten but it was actually eight.

 

She’s credited as English actress Joanna Pettet, whom I believe is the one who visits her friend Sharon on that fateful August day with her newborn baby.

 

Whiskey sours are usually my go to drink and this just made me want one so bad.

 

That didn’t look anything like Rumer Willis. I’m guessing she was at the party?
