Yeah, call him out on the genuinely bad shit he’s done. The n-word fixation, Uma’s injury, his Polansky comments, hiring Hirsch. But the complaints about how many lines Sharon Tate has in a film that is very much a love letter to her and the fixation on a very vague scene in the film are so weird.

 

idk if I'm just not a perv or I have a foot fetish that has been normalized but the only bare feet I actively noticed were pussycat's in Cliff's car lol so can we please lose the QT foot fetish talking point (not the thread, everyone else online)

dunno if it's been mentioned yet but I love so many of the little moments in this namely:

Cliff's "yeah!" after we hear "musicians are tempermental cats"

Rick throwing the flask out of his trailer after having the breakdown

Rick chewing the drumstick and throwing it after exiting the saloon in the Lancer sequence

 

QT has a special attention to detail and sound quality when focusing on food and drinking. Even after watching this I wanted a make myself a cocktail

 

Rick and Cliff watching his episode of the FBI show together was great, I loved their relationship

 

Give me a 6+ hour Rick and cliff commentary track on various 60s shows

 

It was definitely a random aside which was bizarre plus he's a hero for not letting a teenager blow him

I didn't realize it was a Natalie Wood reference

 

the sound of the dog food plopping and brandy licking her lips was so good

 

I saw the same ice tray in a completely different film earlier in the day too...odd.

The feet were too much, though.

 

I also didn’t get why people are so hung up about the blowjob scene. I don’t think it makes him a “hero” like others have said

 

Brad Pitt was pretty subtle but great imo. My favorite role of his in a while

 

Brad Pitt looks cool af smoking a cigarette. Every damn time it just oozed cool lol.

 

For me it was more uncomfortable that a guy in his mid 50s was sexualizing teenagers, felt the same with Squeaky and George especially because apparently in real life Charlie forced her to have sex with her

 

I keep thinking about how great the Spahn ranch scene was. My stomach was in knots as Pitt got cocky as shit beating up the car guy. Tarantino does a great job making it believable that Pitt would write the crew off as dirty hippies; however, the audience is aware of how dangerous they/Tex really are

 

Fair, the George Spahn shit was just as horrible in real life

 

It was moral of him to decline but he also mentioned he was lucky to escape the law a few times (like not getting convicted in his wife's death) and didn't want to jinx it
