Honestly there’s not a lot to be gained by trying to scrutinize every word said about the movie at this point without having seen the movie

sure it could but the idea it speaks to some larger critique about his work doesn’t hold water when you look at basically every other movie he’s done with significant female characters

Reminds me of the criticism he got regarding Kerry Washington having little dialogue in Django

Well that’s just plainly unfair criticism since she isn’t in that movie.

Seems like some of the bigger-ish names are being cut from the movie. James Marsden and Tim Roth included

That's a bummer. Esp since Tim Roth is like a QT staple.

It's weird because I also think of him as a QT staple, but he's only been in 3 of his films, or 4 if you count the segment QT did in Four Rooms. I would have thought many more.

Hmmm, you are right. Before Hateful 8 it had been awhile too.

Yeah, when I went to see which movies he was in I was thinking it would be at least 6 or 7 of them.

I think part of that is that he was in two of the most iconic QT films. There are some I might have thought off the top of my head he was in, but thinking about it for any length of time wouldn’t sound right.

I still need to watch that extended cut of The Hateful Eight.

Hateful Eight is probably my least favorite QT film. There’s a couple I’d have to revisit to really remember, but that just did not do anything for me.

    Yeah Hateful Eight is...not good.

    Neither is Django, really

Django will always have a place in my heart even if only for Christoph and Kerry and their use of Freedom. When I saw that in the theater I involuntarily stood up from excitement when I heard the start.

I liked The Hateful Eight way more than I expected but didn't like Django Unchained.

I think Inglourious Basterds is his best.

i think hateful eight works well in the trump era. Django suffers severely from being cut so much and losing its two best/most fun characters at once

Man I've watched hateful eight like a trillion times. Not gonna argue its top 5 qt... but I think it's fantastic. Especially the first half.

Django I haven't seen in quite some time...but I recall leo being the best part

I thought Hateful 8 worked much better as a mini series. There was an article about it where QT said there is an extended cut of Django coming too!
