Except that we learn he wasn’t fully gone since Luke was able to redeem him?

 

Years later. Like I said, fully gone “AT THIS POINT.” The first time we see Vader waver is in Empire.*

*I haven’t read the comics, so they could have had him waver earlier, I guess. But as for movies and TV, he only wavers for Luke. Not Ahsoka. Not Obiwan. Because they are his past. The past Vader killed. Anakin was dead. Those bonds were dead. But Luke? He is connected to the past, but ultimately is a future leaning person for him. He can see the potential. At first, it’s dark potential. But that potential, that new hope, of being with his son changed everything.

 

What are everyone's favorite star wars entries? Shall we rank them including this series? I don't think I'm the best person to start. Maybe Greg would like to?

Hey, we all find what we find dumb, and we all get amusement in our own ways. It made me smile to do this, but now I'm done.

 

This is where I land when it comes to the fights in Kenobi and Rebels, but I think if all 3 (Padme, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka) went to Mustafar, they could have saved him. Ahsoka would have been able to convince Obi-Wan he’s not already a lost cause and him not power posing at the top of the ramp would have given Padme a much better chance at success.

Obi wan is 2nd to last as far as tv star wars goes fyi, but would fare a little bit better if i took the time to rank it within the 9 movies. (I wont, im not a huge star wars fan and im already 1, 2 and 3 now in stupid so no need to push it).

 

I still don’t think it would have worked. See my post a handful or more up about why I think only Luke (I’ll add in Leia as an option now, too) would be able to save him.
