Ending the band on Norma Jean would be a nice way to go out.

I never wanna see them call it quits but if they did it like this - I would be satisfied.

    The spiciest meme

3rd time through and I think it's really clicking now, I mean I already thought it was great but now it's really starting to stick.

Also it's been stated before but now that the new album is out, it really is amazing how good they can make albums with how shaky the lineup is over the years

This vocalist is super powerful, never listened to these guys until a friend recommended I throw this on. Are they good live?

Yes, although I saw a different iteration of the band. I have a feeling a lot of it comes from Cory though. Dude is a true professional.

My harsh opinions on this album being “just good” and not great are being tempered. Listening to it a lot since Friday and I think there’s a lot of great stuff here. Anna is a major banger. I still have some issues but I think this could be better than Polar Similar, but still not as good as Wrongdoers.

Kinda crazy reading about the genesis of "Anna".

My more developed thoughts on this are that I like that to me it’s less sludgy/chaotic and thats the biggest contributor to it being really consistent, but idk if it’s highs are as high as those on PS, Wrong, and Meri.

  12. I think if I hadn’t heard any of the three previous records, I would be head over heels in love with this. There are a ton of really great parts here but I’m not convinced it’s doing a lot that they haven’t done better before. Solid addition to the catalogue but just probably not the record I come back to when I need a NJ fix. Who knows, maybe time proves me wrong

I guess I need to revisit the previous 3.

With error, Anna, and careen are the easy top 3. Few other standouts too but it blends more after those.

IDK yall, Careen and Anna might be a contender for my favorite Norma Jean coupling of songs.

Man, I'm so jealous. They just skipped our city altogether. I'd love to see these bands on the same bill.

I'm pretty stoked. Only problem is it's an outdoor show and it's nearly freezing out right now. At least the rain stopped.

Gideon was kinda meh tbh, but Norma Jean and TDWP both killed it. I was hoping they'd play Memphis, but I didn't expect it so I wasn't really disappointed, but the new songs sounded great and they threw in some oldies to keep everyone happy.
