Apparently it cost like $250 million to make and that's before all the marketing they did. So, not super surprised that they had such a high asking price.

if they did, they wouldn't be shopping it around

 

That’s what I assumed. Hopefully we get more than Warner Bros films this summer.

Universal only partners with Peacock so hopefully F9 isn’t delayed another year.

Whatever. Wouldn’t be surprised if next month they do a 180 on us again and decide to stream it.

 

We probably shouldn't be expecting big theatrical releases until maybe late summer at the earliest.

No Time To Watch

 

So this, Last Night In Soho, and Dune are all coming out in October? When we still don’t know if we’ll have this pandemic totally covered.

I just rewatched Skyfall, Casino Royale & Quantum of Solace in that order over three nights. I'm going to watch Spectre tomorrow night. Casino Royale is fucking great, and it holds up very well, but I think I actually slightly prefer Quantum of Solace. It is fucking awesome and way better than it gets credit for. It's perfect right in between Casino Royale and Skyfall, which are both phenomenal but also both feel pretty long. I appreciate the economical storytelling in QoS, although I am not a fan of the hyperkinetic editing in the actual action scenes themselves. I think it is slightly overdone. Sometimes it is tough to tell what's going on, particularly in the opening car chase. Skyfall is still king for me though.

Wow quite a take. I can't imagine ever watching quantum again (or spectre)

 

You should try, honestly. It was much better than I remember it being.

I can't speak to Spectre yet because I've only watched the opening sequence and when Bond fights Dave Bautista on a train.

 

I like Spectre a lot but, yeah QoS is maybe my least favorite Bond film second only to Die Another Day.

 

Quantum has the one good setpiece but yeah other than that it’s not great. Easily the worst of the Craig films thus far.

 

Maybe I'll revisit them since it's been so long.
