You are right, I made a mistake. I mean 4, I think. Whatever the SNES one is everybody loves, the one with the good DS version lol I can’t keep the numbers straight

 

DQ11 is amazing but any other DQ game is at the most just 'really good'.

 

It's so formulaic, it's a good formula but they don't stray from the path enough

9 was that weird ds release that was online too or some shit that I know Cam is gonna defend hard af after he sees this post.

 

The fact that they put out DQ 4-8 on DS/3DS was so great for people like me who didn't play them growing up.

 

Good formula > mediocre experimentation

Pokemon & DQ > FF

 

I would personally take FF VI, XII, X, VII, and IV over any of the DQ games, but that's just me. FF was my series growing up, not DQ, which I didn't come to play until I was older.

 

Not really. It had some online stuff but not relevant.

 

lol "weird online". it was local only, it just had downloadable quests and items. the local multiplayer was very robust for a jrpg. it's a fantastic game

 

Yeah 9 was more like an interesting attempt at westernization of DQ with a quest system and stuff like that. But it did have some kind of co-op or something didn't it?
